NUTRITION PROGRAMS

Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) / Mothers, Infants & Children (MIC)

A USDA funded program providing nutritionally balanced food supplements to senior citizens 60 & over and  families with children under 6 years of age not eligible for WIC. Must meet income guidelines.

Distributions on the Third Wednesday of EACH month

from 9:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M.

 T.E.F.A.P.

The Emergency Food Assistance Program

    A USDA funded program providing federally purchased surplus food to low-income families. No age requirement but must meet the income guidelines

Distributions are Quarterly, on the first Thursday of Every Third Month

Manistee County - FiveCAP Office, 265 First St., Manistee

Lake County - FiveCAP Office, 2476 W. 44th St., Baldwin

Newaygo County - FiveCAP Office, 434 N. Evergreen, White Cloud

 

 Food Pantry

Funded by the Emergency Food & Shelter Program (EFSP), to provide up to 30 days of food to families and individuals on an emergency needs basis. Contact your FiveCAP County Office for assistance.

 

 Gardening / Food Preservation

Funded by the Community Services Block Grant (CSBG), this program provides plants to families each year with training to encourage gardening and food preservation. The program offers canning, drying and freezing food workshops, as well as loans rototillers to participants.
