HEALTH & SAFETY COORDINATOR (Head Start)
Ludington area not for profit organization seeking career oriented individual to plan, coordinate and implement health related service delivery to Head Start preschool age children and families.
Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in nursing or health related field. Training and experience in public health, nursing, health education, maternal and child health, or health administration.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure nutrition and health care needs are efficiently met.
  • Monitor health, safety and sanitation practices.
  • Evaluate, plan, and oversee training of nutrition aides.
  • Maintenance of records and reporting.
  • Team leader, enjoys responsibility, and wants to make a difference.
Skills Required:
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Organization and problem solving
  • Computer experience
  • Ability to supervise.
New program coordinator will receive a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 (gross wages) if he or she successfully completes the hiring and retention process. Starting annually $54,187. PARENT INVOLVEMENT & LITERACY COORDINATOR (Head Start)
Ludington area (Scottville): Full-time, full year. Seeking career oriented individual responsible for literacy program coordination, assuring parent involvement and volunteer program efforts, implementing HEAD START objectives, evaluation and planning.
Qualifications:
  • B.A. in Early Elementary or Early Childhood Development
Skills Required:
  • Understanding of Early Childhood Development/Education
  • Ability to supervise

  • Organization and problem solving
  • Computer experience

EARLY HEAD START SPECIALIST
Open position at each of the following locations:  
Baldwin - LAKE COUNTY
Scottville - MASON COUNTY

Full time, full year. Seeking responsible family specialist for home visiting, early child development program serving low-income pregnant women and infants/toddlers 0-3 yrs old. Home visits are currently suspended due to COVID-19, however services are still be provided remotely and with weekly contact. 
Qualifications:
  • Min. 2 yrs related work experience
  • A.A. or B.A. in Early Childhood Development or Social Work (Licensing requirement of minimum CDA or 12 credit hrs in Early Childhood Development)
​Must have good interpersonal/communication skills; organizational & computer skills; and a valid Michigan drivers license.

The new Specialist will receive a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 (gross wages) if he or she successfully completes the hiring and retention process. Starting salary $37,472. EARLY HEAD START - FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES WORKER
Open position at each of the following locations:  
Scottville (Ludington area) - MASON COUNTY
Manistee - MANISTEE COUNTY
Baldwin - LAKE COUNTY
White Cloud - NEWAYGO COUNTY

Full-time, full-year. Seeking energetic, detail oriented individual with good interpersonal and organization skills; responsible for completing intake paperwork, participating in home visits, and assuring program collaboration and resource delivery to Early Head Start (infants/toddlers, pregnant women) families. Min. 1 yr exp. in related field; or AA or BA in Human Service, Child Development, or Education. $16.00/hr. Valid MI drivers license; willing to travel within service area. 

ACCOUNTING MANAGER
Scottville (Ludington area): Private non-profit organization seeking Fiscal Manager. Must be detail oriented, multi-task, organized, and experienced in overall aspects of accounting and reporting. Duties include accounts payables, recordkeeping, reconciliation, and all duties as assigned, including audit preparation.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Associate Degree in accounting with experience. Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Ability to process journal entries and prepare reports accurately and efficiently.
  • Attention to detail and high level of professionalism.
  • Advanced computer experience required: MS Excel, MS Word, accounting software.
Salary $55,000 based on experience. Position is full-time with an excellent benefit package, included health, dental, matching 403(b) retirement account. 

COMMUNITY SUPPORT SERVICES WORKER

​White Cloud - NEWAYGO COUNTY
Baldwin - LAKE COUNTY 

Full-time, immediate opening – Must be computer literate. Assist low-income individuals, families, and seniors to obtain social services as needed. Intake, maintenance of client records and entering in data entry system. Qualifications include:
  • 1 yr of college or equivalent experience preferred in the Human Services field;
  • ability to supervise volunteers;
  • written/verbal communication skills;
  • computer skills; organized and detail oriented;
  • excellent people skills;
  • integrity;
  • confidentiality;
  • knowledge of community resources.
  • Must have a valid Michigan Driver's License and reliable transportation.
  • Willing to relocate if not resident of service area.
Annual $33,280 plus benefits including health, dental, matching 403(b) retirement account.

HEAD START CENTER POSITIONS
FiveCAP, Inc. operates seven (7) Head Start Centers in the four counties of Mason, Manistee, Newaygo and Lake  (see Service Area map below for Center locations). 

FiveCAP Head Start is a center-based program serving 3-5 year old children Mon-Thurs, September-May/June. Center Staff work August (orientation/start up/recruitment) thru end May/early June (closing/inventory/cleaning). Exception: 
Manistee, Hesperia/Fremont, and Grant locations are duration programs operating until mid-July.

Responsible for managing child development center and teach classroom of 3‑5 year old children. Seeking good leader/planner with excellent communication and organizational skills; must have good people and supervisory skills.
Qualifications:
  • AA or BA in Early Childhood Development or related with Early Childhood.
  • Annual $52,000 (with BA w/ZS endorsement) 
  • Annual $48,000 (with AA in ECE) with experience
  • Health benefits, vacation, paid holidays, matching retirement, tuition reimbursement.

LEAD TEACHER - Hesperia/Fremont; Baldwin; Ludington; Grant
Head Start teacher responsible for managing classroom of preschool age children. Qualifications: AA or BA req’d in Early Childhood Development or related degree. Experience preferred.
  • Annual $45,000 (with BA w/ZS endorsement)
  • Annual $40,000 (with AA in ECE) with experience 
  • Health benefits, vacation, paid holidays, matching retirement, tuition reimbursement.

The new Lead Teacher will receive a sign-on bonus up to $2,500 (gross wages) if he or she successfully completes the hiring and retention process. 

ASSISTANT TEACHER -  Hesperia/Fremont; Baldwin; Ludington; Fountain; Grant
Regular part-time, 26-32 hrs/wk. Responsibilities vary working as part of the teaching team to support creating a good learning environment to promote growth and learning for 3-5 year olds (consistent with the Head Start Performance Standards and Day Care Licensing. Qualifications: Child Development Associate (CDA) or willing to acquire within one year of employment; one year experience working with children. $16.00/hr with benefits, holiday and vacation pay. Optional matching retirement. The new Asst Teacher will receive a sign-on bonus up to $1,500 (gross wages) if he or she successfully completes the hiring and retention process. 

KITCHEN AIDE / FLOATER -  No openings 
Regular part-time; 26-32 hrs/wk. Seeking reliable individual that can communicate effectively, accept supervision and positively interact with preschool age children and co-workers. $16.00/hr with benefits, holiday and vacation pay. Optional matching retirement. 

BUS DRIVER - Hesperia/Fremont; Baldwin; Grant; Fountain
Regular part-time (20+ hours) bus driver for preschool age children. Qualified candidates must have CDL with P & S Endorsement. Must be dependable and have good communication skills. $26.00/hr, holiday and vacation pay. Optional matching retirement. The new Bus Driver will receive a sign-on bonus up to $1,500 (gross wages) if he or she successfully completes the hiring and retention process. ​


Employment subject to passing job-related physical exam and TB test. No citations for child abuse/neglect. 
Able to lift up to 60 lbs. Criminal background check. 

Must be able to relocate or commute within 30 miles of Center/Office location.
